My Reflection

I have been learning to find the lines of symmetry in shapes.  I found this easy because I had some help from Mrs Melville.  I now know that lines of symmetry reflect each other.  My next step is to learn about rotational symmetry.

This is My Korowai And I have been working on my Korowai for the last two or three terms. On Thursday the first of November There was an art evening. I really enjoyed showing my parents My korowai and my art work that i've done over the year. I am proud of my korowai because I got to design it on my own.

I have been learning to compare earth and mars by there difference. I was surprised that earth and mars are so different. I use to think they were the same when I was a little girl. The two things I need to work on is To stay on track and work a lot faster.

I have been learning about metaphors and similes.Today I learned that a metaphor is a sentence that dos not have like or as and a  simile is a sentence that dos have like and as.  I have been learning to recognise and understand specific language features. We have been learning about metaphors and similes.  I think I have a good understanding of metaphors and similes. I think I am still learning about metaphors and similes. My next step is to use metaphors in my draft writing.

I am been learning to understand the cause and effects of events in a text.  In the novel wonder there are lots of things that happen which causes effects.  The outcome of an event or action by one of the characters. I found this easy because I read the book for the Information that I needed.  My next step is to understand the purpose of the characters in the story.

MY reflection I have been learning the features of an explanation writing. The features of an explanation text are Conjunctions,joining time words [then next later] present tense,connectives. I found this easy because I had a video to help me find the information that I needed. My next step is to write my own explanation using the features.

  I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text to understand their purpose. I chose my friend Kaya to compare to jack will. Some characteristics they have in common are that there popular and that there sometime's mean. They are different because theres one boy and one girl. This was an interesting activity to help me understand Jack Wills purpose as a characters. MY next step is to compare more characters to people I know to give me a deeper understanding of the story.

  I have been learning to make a justified prediction of a book.A justified prediction is imformation from a story or a movie.I found this easy because to make a justified prediction because i don't know how to write a justified prediction.My next step is to write a better justified prediction.

Spelling -k sound

I have been learning to recognise the diffrent ways of spelling the k sound in words.

I was supprised it took one second.I now know my k sounds of by heart. This will help me with my spelling because I don't know how to spell some words  . I have been learning about the different parts of graphs.  I learnt that title data labels and scales are the most important parts.  I found this tricky because I don't know that much about graphs.  My next step is to create my Own graph by collecting data.

I have been learning to conduct a simple statistical inquiry.  I investigated what room 24's favourite online game was.  I discovered that rm 24 favourite online game is Roblox.  I was surprised that Roblox was the most popular online game!  My next step is to display this data on a different type of graph.
